Hello Readers,
A few weeks ago we were able to get our hands on a new copy of Birthday/Battle Bunny by Jon Scieszka and Mac Barnett. It is the perfect Guys Read book.
Mr. S, over at TMC Guys Read, and I wanted to do something for our Intercontinental Ballistic Reading Group and thought this would make the perfect book. We would read Birthday/Battle Bunny and then find some second-hand Golden Books to properly deface, Guys Read style. After a little soul-searching we decided that we could not, in good faith, destroy books. We are book lovers after all.
So we came up with the idea of writing and illustrating our own stories and then defacing them. Well we have been working on our story for many meetings now, and though we are not perfectly happy with the illustrations, we wanted cheesy clip art, we believe we are finished.
So here is our tale of Little Slim Peeper for you to deface.
